At Bain (Ricci) Field, our 9 year old team captured the Rhode Island Cal Ripken State Championship with a win over Darlington.&amp;nbsp; The team won all three of its games in the State Tournament with strong hitting and timely pitching.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The team managed by Andy Spirito and coached by Tom Barbieri and Steve Alves will represent Rhode Island in the New England Cal Ripken Tournament starting on August 6 in Turners Falls, Massachusetts.&amp;nbsp; Our players have enjoyed great success this summer with championships in both the Rehoboth Summer Slam and in the State Cal Ripken Tournament.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;

The registration fee is $50 for one child or $75 for two or more siblings.&amp;nbsp; We'll be holding in-person registration sessions on Friday, July 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday July 25 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to collect the registration forms and fees.&amp;nbsp; Both registration sessions will be at Garden City Field.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Please note on the form the playing level at which each child wishes to participate (e.g., Majors, AAA, AA, Instructional).&lt;/p&gt;

At the Majors and AAA levels, we had exciting games throughout the season.&amp;nbsp; The playoffs were competitive and had two great finals.&amp;nbsp; Congratulations to &lt;strong style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 0);"&gt;TPG Companies&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 0);"&gt;Lovett Scheffrin Harnett&lt;/strong&gt; on their playoff championships and to Resnick Law and University Orthodontics for their excellent play in the finals.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; We'll touch base soon regarding the planning of the Majors and AAA Field Day to be held in late August, where all players will receive their trophies.&lt;br /&gt;

Our AA/Instructional Field Day was a resounding success with a well-played AA All Star Game followed by an afternoon of fun activities for the players.&amp;nbsp; A special thanks goes to the volunteers who helped with the set-up starting in the early morning.&amp;nbsp; As you saw throughout the AA and Instructional games, our League has a very deep pool of talented young players with bright playing futures ahead of them.&lt;br /&gt;

This past season, we saw many improvements in our League, such as the highly successful concession stand at Bain, our new website, and our fundraiser dinners.&amp;nbsp; Thanks to all of the volunteers who participated.&lt;br /&gt;

We'll have a coaches meeting in July to talk about the past Spring Season and our agenda going forward.&amp;nbsp; You should attend this important meeting.&amp;nbsp; Also, we'll need volunteers for Fall Ball, so let us know if you're interested in managing or coaching.&amp;nbsp; In September, we'll have our elections for Executive Board positions. &lt;br /&gt;

Edgewood South Elmwood Little League has EXCLUSIVE USE of Faye Field &lt;br /&gt;
on &lt;strong&gt;Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays&lt;/strong&gt; for the entire season.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
This allows &lt;strong&gt;CLCF&lt;/strong&gt; to use the field from &lt;strong&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Friday to Monday&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; for the Season.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
I, Majors team # 3 Pat Keough will be using Faye Field this coming MONDAY evening April 13th for practice.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
With the exception of the times that have been designated for AAA Practices&lt;br /&gt;
for teams AAA 5 and AAA 6, practice will be on a first come first serve basis, &lt;br /&gt;
PROVIDING that the team that will be using it notifies all other teams of their intent before hand.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Pawtucket Red Sox vs Buffalo Bison's&lt;br /&gt;
Game time 6:00 p.m.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tickets are $6.00 for a paid admission, with $2.00 on each ticket returned to the local league!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Last year we had over 1300 people attend the event.  This year, we can possibly double that number.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
All league players will be included in the pre game ceremonies and appear on the field in their uniforms.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Start making your leagues plans to make this event a huge success.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
